THE INTERDEPENDENCE BETWEEN THE EMOTIONAL AND THE COGNITIVE IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

Abstract
The progress in neuroscience demonstrates the interdependence of body and mind, the cognitive and the emotional, language and psyche.My paper is based on the scientific discoveries made by those linguists and scholars whose contribution to science had not always been duly acknowledged throughout the years as their findings proved to be off the beaten track, often provoking heated debates among their conservative-minded colleagues. It turns out that every language has a sound frequency bandwidth which allows us to pick up the language our ear is prone to accept. We improve our language skills while enjoying the process of learning at the same time because in this way we are freed from our fears and psychological inhibitions by using the suggestopedia teaching method.
